This chapter discusses the role of stress in predictive genetic testing, with a focus on whether stress influences decisions to have genetic tests, the impact of test results on feelings of stress, and the cognitive appraisal of genetic risk information. © 2007 Copyright © 2007 Elsevier Inc.
