Abstract

ASTER images were used for mapping the water surface temperature in the Mequinenza and the Ribarroja reservoirs, on the Ebro River. The spatially continuous information of these maps reveals the impact of the reservoir on the river’s natural thermal gradient in two different periods of the year.
