Multiple description coding is an increasingly popular error correcting technique. In this paper, the application of several multiple description techniques to Advanced Audio Coder is explained. According to the experimental results, both Multiple Description Vector Quantisation (MDVQ) and Multiple Description Transform Coding (MDTC) outperform original single description AAC at %2 packet loss rate. © 2013 IEEE.
