Abstract

The moisture properties of low density Aircrete wallettes (compressive strength of 2.8 and 2 N/mm 2) are verified. This entails determining the moisture content after immediately removing from the pallet, measuring the water absorption rate and finally evaluating the shrinkage ondrying. The tests werecarried outinaccordance withthe relevant Britishand European Standards. Low density Aircrete has a low water absorption rate with minimal shrinkage on drying from a moistened state. © 2005 Taylor & Francis Group.
