Abstract

For some years, the Department of Mechanical Engineering has offered a final year option in Energy and Environmental Management. With the support of a grant from Esso and the University of Surrey, a project has been established to initiate the production of a multi-media teaching and learning package. The first stage of this effort involves selecting suitable case study material incorporating energy and environmental issues. Once the pilot scale study has been put together, the methods will be available for application to new studies and topics with the minimum of additional work.
