Abstract

A concentric ring array utilizing microstrip radiating elements to produce circular polarisation is proposed. Optimized design data are presented, and the design validated through measured data for a 10GHz prototype antenna. The new antenna structure offers design flexibility, and the opportunity to control the amplitude and phase of the exciting signal.
